TRACKER GUIDE

How to read your stream

These figures are estimates to help you plan. They are not official Twitch metrics or guarantees.

Your target and average

Target average
The average viewer count you want for this broadcast.
Estimated stream average
A time-weighted estimate from the viewer samples collected during this stream. The status bar moves toward your target and turns green once this average reaches it.
Current viewers
The latest concurrent viewer count returned by Twitch. The tracker checks about once per minute while you are live.
Time streamed
Elapsed time since Twitch reports the broadcast began. If tracking starts after the broadcast, the first observed count is used to estimate the earlier portion.

Time to target

When your average is below target and the current viewer count is above it, the tracker estimates how much longer it may take if that current count stays constant. It recalculates as new samples arrive.

A dash means there is no time estimate under that assumption—for example, if the current count is at or below your target, it cannot lift the average to the goal.

Once the average reaches target, the card says Target achieved. If current viewers later fall below target, it estimates how much longer you can stream before the average may slip below the goal.

Schedule and overtime

Planned length is your intended stream duration. Overtime allowance is the extra time you are willing to consider after the planned end. The graph marks the planned end and shades the overtime window.

When the estimated time to target extends past the planned end, the card indicates whether it may require overtime or fall beyond the allowance.

Viewer history colours

Below targetApproaching targetAt or above target

Each bar summarizes a five-minute interval. Its colour reflects that interval’s average viewer count compared with your target; the overall status bar reflects the estimated average for the whole stream.

The Y-axis interval is chosen from your target (75 uses 25-viewer steps; 500 uses 100-viewer steps). As counts rise, the chart first adds more steps; it widens the interval only when needed to keep the chart readable.

Privacy and saved data

This version has no tracker account database or app server that receives your viewer history. Viewer samples and Twitch account details are kept in this browser tab's session storage and automatically cleared after 24 hours from the first sample. Target, planned length, overtime setting, tooltip preference, and Twitch Client ID are kept in this browser's local storage. Reset session restarts live tracking from the current moment. Manage Data offers deletion of this app's saved data. The connected-state Disconnect button is a separate action; both ask Twitch to revoke the token and show a Twitch connections link if revocation cannot be confirmed.

When connected, the browser sends the access token and required request details directly to Twitch over HTTPS to validate your login and read the live viewer count. The app does not ask for or store a client secret. The page currently loads fonts from Google, which receives a normal font request (such as your IP address) but not your tracker samples or Twitch token.

“Stays in this browser” means the tracker does not sync these values to other devices or send them to a tracker database. Anyone with access to this browser profile or computer may still be able to access locally saved settings. No website can promise zero security risk; before public hosting, the app needs an HTTPS deployment and a security review of its hosting settings and external resources.

Samples and settings stay in this browser. Viewer counts and sampling may vary; results are not guaranteed.

This clears the saved history. If you are live, tracking restarts now using the latest known viewer count. Your Twitch connection and settings will stay.
